"...i like ponies."

let's start off by saying that THIS LAST WEEKEND WAS THE BEST WEEKEND I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. period. end of story.
okay, after school on friday my dad picked me up from school and drove me all the way to the wonderful land of newport news. what's in newport new you may ask? hayley todd is in newport news! i arrived at hayley's house around 6:30. apparently, her power was out which worked in our favor. because of the power shortage, hayley's mom, hayley, heather, and i went to the ever so infamous plaza azteca. it was DELICIOUS. i love mexican food and that happened to be some amazing mexican food. i ordered the vegetarian d, which was a burrito, enchilada, and quesadilla. after plaza, we went back to hayley's house to find complete darkness. we decided to drive around for a little bit so that maybe we could waste some time before the power came back on so we didn't have to sit around in the dark. a little while later, the power came back on. hayley made me a little air mattress bed and then we talked until we went to bed. saturday morning rolled around and at this point, me and hayley were 'vibrating' with excitement. the morning passed with a trip to hayley's mom's office, a trip to food lion to pick up berry cherry vitamin waters, and a failed attempt at making madina lake something nice. heather got home from work around three and that's when we departed for virginia beach. we stopped by to pick up heather's friend, robbin, and then we rode off. sadly, we got stuck in 5 1/2 mile traffic leading up to the tunnel. the traffic wouldn't have been so bad if i didn't have to be a major whiz kid the entire time. we finally got past the traffic and arrived in virginia beach. we stopped at a nasty gas station where i preceded to pee for a whole five minutes, it was quite refreshing. then finally, we got to club relevant. after shortly waiting outside, we walked into the smallest venue i have ever seen. the first band started, they sucked a lot. the band was local and they thought they were so hardcore, but they weren't. the next band was pretty decent. they called themselves "astrostrobelight". the band had to really cute guys in it, so i was quite pleased. a closure in moscow came on next, and they were super extremely strange. they were from australia which explains a lot. after the weird aussies, the sleeping came on. they were really good in my opinion, besides the huge obese lead singer with sweaty hands. they sang "don't hold back" which is a song that i happen to like a lot. after much anticipation and waiting, madina lake's set was next. at this point, i was basically on the stage. my knees were touching the stage, right in front of matthew's spot. "lila, the divine game" started playing and my heart started racing, all the sudden, madina lake runs out on stage. they started off by playing adalia and then preceded to play more amazing songs. before madina lake's set started, me and hayley saw the set list so we knew what they were going to play. they actually played "pandora", which was crazy insane. i was jumping and screaming along to that song like nobody's business. soon after they finished, ending with "stars", which is one of hayley's absolute favorite songs. did i mention that matthew leone LOVES hayley? he really really does. the entire show he kept looking at her and smile. he also hand gave her a pick. it was intense. after the show, they came out and talked to us. we all got pictures with them, and then we chatted with them for about ten minutes. i couldn't believe that i finally met MATEO CAMARGO. i've had a huge crush on him ever since warped tour, and he's extremely attractive. in ecstasy, we walked outside. mateo came out shortly after us to take a smoke break. we started talking to him and we invited him to come to ihop with us, he wasn't interested. even when i offered to buy him a tall stack and a pony! heather, hayley, robbin, and i went to ihop and ate funny face pancakes that were very delectable. we drove around for a little bit, got slurpees, and dropped robbin back off at his house. me and hayley got back to her house and just laid in bed thinking about the night. it was absolutely prefect, nothing went wrong. it was seriously the best show i've ever been to, hands down. i wish i could replay it over and over and over again. thank you hayley for the best weekend of my life, it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you aka the greatest best friend in the whole wide world :)
